I'm Anish Deshpande, an Information Sciences and Data Science student at the University of Illinois, based in Chicago. I turn messy, real-world information into something organized and useful. And when I'm not working with data, I'm behind a drum kit.

Independent Statistical Analysis — John Bonham Drum Solos
- Collected and organized observational data from ~15 Led Zeppelin performances to analyze the number of drum hits in John Bonham's solos.
- Recorded performance-level data in spreadsheets and Word documents, then used Python/Pandas to organize and analyze the dataset.
- Calculated the mean number of hits to find a representative average across performances.

- Led the combo senior year, coordinating and performing with the group.

- Attorney for two years, legislator for one, building communication, argumentation, and decision-making skills.
- First year as an attorney: advanced to Court A and won the case.
- As a legislator, authored a bill that passed unanimously in both the House and Senate.
Jazz Band
- Drummer for the second-highest jazz band as a freshman.
- Drummer for the highest jazz band for the following three years.
Pit Orchestra — Annual Musical
- First drummer in the school's history to join the pit orchestra for the annual musical.
